I called the number the machine says "big scam company" that makes them double STUPID! I DONT HAVE UNLIMITED TEXTING!!! Shouldnt our cell providers protect us from stupid ppl like this one?

Had my credit card number and knew my name but for some reason I did not feel right after accepting promotion. I call back the number but only an automated machine picked up instantly hanging up on me. I dont know who this is, but I need to talk to someone because this is very unsettling.

Most likely a fake collector. She had the last four digits of my social security number, my address from four years ago and another in Riverside, California, I have never even lived in Southern California. Promptly reported her to the Police department.

Some lady called again and asked for "Becky"...I informed her a "Becky" does not live here, nor do I have any idea who's she looking for...advised her she is calling my cell phone and to stop. She replied "I am sorry sir" and hung up. This is the first time a female has called from this number, but one of many calls from this number. I guess we citizens need to take action-last I knew, it was illegal in NY to do what they do.....aggravated harassment.

This is from Camden County Jail. I have found out that any inmate in that jail can arbitrarily call any one they want and try to make a collect call. The shift manager that I spoke to says that there is nothing they can do about it and it is their "1st Amendment Right" to call anyone they want. Sounds like the inmates are running the jail instead of the County. This is outrageous! Heck, what is to stop an inmate from running his drug trade from jail? Is this an American jail or is this a Mexican Jail? I guess the New Jersey legislators do not have a problem with it or they would make a law to have all inmates only call pre-approved numbers that they have permission to call in writing. Like I said, it looks as if the inmates are the one running the jail.

This very indian sounding man from this number indicated he was calling from a law firm (name that I couldn't understand) and that they were calling to collect on the debt from an advance that I didn't pay. Well, first of all, he had my name. Second of all, I never took an advance. I indicated that I hadn't and oculd he please give the details as I was curious as to how this could possibly be. I also indicated that I was affiliated with the court system and could easily check what he was talking about. I wanted the name again, the phone number, address and all the details in writing provided to me. He began to fumble and spitter and sputter. I didn't let up. He ended the call by saying well ok then, you didn't!. It is a scam and absolutely illegal.

yeah...they called me too saying his name was HERMAN NEWMAN. whatever.....when he threatened to come to my job and arrest me i was so tickled that i started laughing and he hung up on me. Yes they do know too much info. about us but they cannot do anything with it unless they want it to be traced back to them. You have to agree to them doing so before they can take anything from your account. The game is to scare you so bad that you will do anything to avoid jail then you will agree to them taking money from you account to pay the dept off. Once you agree they got you. Hang up on them or harrasse them back like I do. The number is still good for now.
